I am a recent graduate from Loyola University, where I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in dance and theater. I was a member of the honors program, and through this, I was able to see how important education is in helping society become more compassionate and prosperous.I feel very passionate about learning, and I love sharing this to a new generation of learners. As a teacher, I believe any student can excel with the guidance of a dedicated and patient mentor. As someone who is creative, I enjoy approaching a topic from a number of perspectives. By doing this, I am allowed to accommodate a number of different learning styles students may have.I tutor elementary mathematics, reading, writing, essay composition, grammar, algebra, art, and social studies. My favorite subjects to teach are literature, especially Shakespeare, and English. These subjects allow for classroom discussions, were I am able to get a better understanding of my students' perspectives. I am also able to help students prepare for the ACT. As someone who is passionate about learning, I find it easy to become motivated to learn any area of study. This is a characteristic that I hope to impart on my students.In my spare time I like to dance, act, and run. I also enjoy looking at art exhibits around Chicago.
